Kerala: Climate Intelligent Green Infrastructure
Build Low Carbon Economy For Le-Meridian Hotel And Ecosystem
A study was conducted for understanding the energy emissions from Le-Meridian hotel in Kochi and research methods to invest into winds and solar technologies to reduce the emissions. The following images show the increase in energy consumptions which was simulated by eQuest simulation software.

Energy Reading Analysis
Contracted Load – 1500 KVA
Energy Consumption Units at 8.5 INR
In this project an overall analysis was done on the building. Analysis Steps Involved:
1) A Building Rough SketchUp Image Was Developed To Understand the Facilities From The AutoCad Display
2) Sketchup was used to understand the floriculture in the region and also deploy infrastructure.
3) The Autocad Image was imported into e-Quest to complete the analysis of energy used based on hotel economics.
Observations: There has been a constant increase of 80000 units every year.
Possible Reasons: Climate Change, Change in Equipment Efficiency, Change in Business.
Energy Compensation Using Technology: The following technologies were looked into to change emissions:
a) Wind Farm Deployment, b) Solar Deployment, c) CO2 Capture d) Reduced Emissions From Agricultural Products Used In Hotel e) Equipment Finance
